Librarian Survey Statements Score (1-5)
2. Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy is well organized and easy to navigate. 4.00
  • Having used the print version as an undergrad, I felt that the electronic version is much more accessible. The interface is very straightforward, the searching is easy to grasp, and the articles themselves are well-organized. The bibliography, related articles, and links are great features of each article.
3. Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy is up-to-date with current information. 4.00
  • I already noticed that updated articles are denoted with a little "Updated" graphic. The print version was not updated very frequently, so having this electronically is great in and of itself.
4. Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy scope and content is appropriate. 4.00
  • This is the single most authoritative encyclopedia for philosophy. In a discipline with so few electronic resources, this is essential to have.
5. Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy will assist Student classroom and research projects. 4.00
  • The articles are very concise and easy to read. It's great for majors, non-majors, and faculty.
7. Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy will assist librarian research projects. 3.00
8. Departmental funds are available for Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy subscription. 3.00
9. I would attend a Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy specific training session. 3.00
10. Routledge Encyclopedia of Philosophy should be added to UL e-Resources collection. 5.00
